Training Equipment Insurance
In listening to our members requests for valid benefits for facilitators day to day activities, AIPF is pleased to announce that we have again been successful in negotiating with Parmia Insurance a new insurance product with exclusively reduced rates to protect members Laptops, Mobile Phones, and all other miscellaneous training equipment anywhere in Australia (and worldwide for up to 28 days any one trip) for the following principal key exposures:
- Worldwide cover
- Theft cover (includes theft without forcible entry as per policy wording)
- Accidental damage cover (drops, liquid spills, etc)
- Loss in transit (including Public Transport, Airports, etc)
- Cover for theft out of a vehicle
- Excess from $100
- 48 hour claim turnaround time
It has been estimated that at least 50,000 laptops are stolen each year in Australia - that's one every 10 minutes!
Also keep in mind that laptops are 2-3 times more likely to suffer from accidental damage than from theft. So insuring against both theft and accidental damage is a good idea, and the basis of why we have chosen this cover.
Given how broad the cover is and how valuable your laptop and/or mobile phone and/or PDA etc is to your business, the above insurance should be a must for all learning professionals, and at a total cost of $343.00 per annum for a limit of $5,000 sum insured in any one year. This is a substantial benefit for all members.
