Membership Conditions
1. Determination of Member Categories and Qualifications
- AIPF's National Advisory Panel will review and determine categories and membership criteria annually.
2. Membership Categories
- The categories of individual membership of the Institute are:
a) Associate
b) Member
c) Fellow
- The categories of corporate membership of the Institute are:
a) Silver - between 5 & 20 employees meeting membership criteria
b) Platinum - more than 20 employees meeting membership criteria
3. Membership Applications
- AIPF membership applications are approved by an independent representative based on the criteria for each membership level.
- In the event, an application for membership is not successful AIPF will contact the applicant to advise what further evidence is required.
4. Annual Fees
- Annual fees payable by members (other than Life Members) shall be the amount decided by the National Advisory Panel annually.
- All annual fees shall become due and payable in advance of the anniversary date of being accepted as a member of the Institute.
- When an applicant has been accepted for membership (other than Life Membership), the applicant will receive a written notice of acceptance and, where payment did not accompany the application, a request for payment of the applicant’s first annual fees.
- If the payment is not made within two calendar months after the date of notice, the National Advisory Panel may in its discretion cancel its acceptance of the application for membership of the Institute.
- The Institute shall establish and maintain a register of members of the Institute specifying the name and address of each person who is a member of the Institute together with the date on which the person became a member.

- All application fees will be waived for the period 1/7/07 – 30/6/08.
- Fellows have the otpion to upgrade to life membership for $1980 at any time. Prorata of annual fees will be deducted from total.
- Corporate members must make a single payment for all their employees applying for membership each year to receive the Corporate rate.
6. Cancellation of Membership
- Unpaid Fees
If the membership fees of a member remain unpaid for a period of two calendar months after they become due and notice of the default has been sent to them at any time after the membership fees fall due, the member may be disallowed access to membership privileges. The National Advisory Panel may reinstate the member on payment of all arrears but is not required to do so.
- Resignation
A member may at any time by giving notice in writing to the Institute to resign their membership but shall continue to be liable for any annual fees and all arrears due and unpaid at the date of resignation. Members shall receive a pro-rata refund of any monies paid in advance of their resignation date.
- Unbecoming Conduct
If any member wilfully refuses or neglects to comply with the Institute’s Professional Code of Conduct or acts prejudicially to the interest of the Institute, the National Advisory Panel has the power by resolution to censure, suspend or cancel the individual’s membership.
