The Need
As learning practitioners, we are often so busy looking after our clients and business that we don’t take enough time to look after ourselves. Add to this the demands of a busy family or social life and personal health management usually takes a backseat. This inevitably has negative consequences for one’s physical and psychological well-being, not to mention longevity.
At the same time we are constantly bombarded with conflicting information and advice regarding health improvement products and practices. Much of it doesn’t make a real difference and some does more harm than good. What most people need is practical knowledge for managing their health so it doesn’t end up managing them!
Program Format

You will be encouraged to buddy-up or form support groups to maximise the likelihood that your health improvement plans are successfully implemented.
Personal health coaching can be arranged with the facilitator, but is not included in the program fee.

· The three macronutrients and the importance of balance.
· Three deadly foodstuffs and how they undermine your health.

· Three nutritional wheels that replace the old health pyramid.
· How to quickly create delicious, healthy meals.
· Implications of the metabolic response model.
· The weight loss formula and weight loss zones.
· Overcoming physical ailments that inhibit exercise.
· The science of muscle growth and development.
· The exercise that suits your body type, and the benefits.
· Sarcopenia and your essential exercise requirements.

This site contains numerous resources to assist your learning and successful application of the Leverage Your Health concepts and principles. On the site you will find:
· Self-paced learning and planning exercises, including planning to eat right, planning to exercise right and planning to sustain momentum.
· The Leverage Your Health 4-step weekly planning process.
