Brief description of your role:

Nerurokinesioogist and keynote speaker - Enabling, motivating and inspiring you to…

let go of your past, release your emotions,
remove your hidden blocks to create a
great present and a dynamic future.

1.     Why did you become a learning and development professional?

I was always interested in helping others to learn – to develop the mind, to expand awareness, to appreciate and value what life has to offer.

2.   What do you enjoy most about your role?

 Helping someone to understand.

3.   What do you find most challenging?

Passive people

4.  What do you do to be recognised as a valued business partner?

Understand what it is that is needed and then deliver.

5.  What is the best advice that you would give to someone new to this line of work?

Know your product. Keep researching so you remain challenged and current. Learn as much as you can about human relationships. Aim high and always respect your audience.

6.   What's the best advice that's been given to you that has helped you in your career?

Know yourself.

7.   What's the best career help book that you've ever read?

I have read thousands of books over the years and none stands out as the most important book. However all the books have contributed something to my understanding of myself and others and therefore has enhanced my work, my knowledge, my presentations. I read everything I can about the mind, people’s behaviour, attitudes, biographies and autobiographies. They all give insight.

8.     What's the best event within the training community that you've ever attended?

Not sure about the best event but certainly easy to identify a memorable one - I heard a very well known speaker years ago who threw wine at the audience, spoke to the wall for the entire time and thought he was a great speaker.

What did I learn? – not his appalling behaviour but that speeches don’t have to be formal, be yourself and love your subject. He was also a great example of the ego getting in the way of brains.

9.  Who do you think is the most inspirational member of the training community and have you ever met them?

Everyone has a story to tell – no matter what a person is speaking about you are either learning from their technique for delivery, from their content, or from their personality.

10. What else would you like to share with our readers?

This is the most wonderful job in the world - learn everything you can and keep on learning and more than anything always respect your audience.
