FACILITATION PASSPORT
Your passport to facilitation excellence
The Facilitation Passport suite of programs is AIPF’s answer to providing learning practitioners with highly practical facilitation training and recognition for their professional development.
It meets the important need for learning practitioners to acquire advanced facilitation know-how that is essential to world-class facilitation and not delivered by basic qualifications.
Most introductory programs are too theoretical, time intensive and trainer-centred. They fail to provide the level of practicality and engagement that are fundamental to be achieving facilitator proficiency and excellence.
The Facilitation Passport Suite
The suite consists of nine half-day programs focussed on specific facilitation processes and methods to use within a learning environment.
- Facilitating with Influence
- Facilitating with Pictures
- Facilitating Disruptive Learners
- Facilitating with Stories
- Facilitating with Presence
- Facilitating with Emotional Intelligence
- Facilitating Experiential Learning
- Facilitating Skills Practice
- Facilitating with Visual Aids
Each program addresses two aspects of facilitation: (i) learning process design, and (ii) delivery of facilitation.
Program Structure
All of the programs in the suite comprise four phases:
|
Preparation
Brief orientation activity
|
►
|
Workshop
Practical half-day interactive session
|
►
|
Transfer
Application and reflection
|
►
|
Application Story
Results captured and shared
|
In each program, the half-day workshop lays the foundation for application and further learning. The learning that takes place during the Transfer and Application Story phases is an important contributor to program effectiveness. Participants are provided with support in the form of transfer strategies, which help them to maximise the benefits of their learning.
The Passport
Participants are provided with a Facilitation Passport which is used as a record of programs completed and recognition of levels achieved.
After successful completion of each program, participants receive a self-adhesive, passport-size certificate which is placed in their Facilitation Passport.
There are three levels of accomplishment: Silver, Gold and Platinum. These are automatically achieved after successful completion of three, six and nine programs respectively. In addition, each participant is awarded a formal certificate when they have achieved Platinum level.
The programs can be completed in any order, however all application stories must be completed before the Facilitation Passport Certificate will be awarded.
The Facilitation Passport suite can be implemented in-company either as an accelerated program [e.g. two or more workshops at a time] or as a longer development program [e.g. one workshop every month].
